The European release date for Furious Styles' new record entitled "Menace" has been set for November 28th. Mark your calenders, you don't want to miss this record. Here's how the cover is going to look like:

Ambush is what you might call an Allstar band from the UK hardcore scene started by people originally in notorious bands such as Six Ft. Ditch, Special Move and more. In detail it's Scott "Special Move" and Peachey "Six Ft Ditch" on vocals, Tub "Rough Justice" (Ex-Eviscerate A.D.) on guitar, Duncan "Six ft. Ditch" (ex-Awoken) on the drums, and Trev "Taking Names" on the bass.

Expect some heavy metallic hardcore that will jump on you like a pitbull on amphetamins, no prisoners taken!

But enough with trying to describe music with words, go and check out their myspace yourselves, as they just posted 3 brand new demosongs on there.

Peachey comments: "A*M*B*U*S*H got together just 5 friends that have been around the scene for many years & thought they would do a band together, playing the kind of music that they wanted to hear, not what was cool. Just straight up GOOD MUSIC. Never have we thought that labels would approach us and give us an opportunity before we ever even recorded a single song. But we are gratefull that Alveran gave us this opportunity and showed belief in us, so we are definetely going to do our best to kill all of you...metaphorically speaking".

Some people might be wondering why all the straight edge stuff like 7th dagger isn't available online anymore. Here is the deal: long time friends Henning (24, imosh) and Alveran Records owner Sascha (both living edge for lots of years) decided to team up and open up the biggest European SXE-only (!) mailorder out there: DIEHARD STRAIGHTEDGE (DHSE). Some of you kids have surely noticed that we hadn't announced a location for this year's Pressure Fest yet. That was because we were still in negotiations with the Gysenberg Halle. We are now happy to announce that we have finally come to an agreement! This year will find us again in that great venue, enjoying the advantages coming along with it and providing the all around Pressure feeling a lot of you kids have fallen in love with over the years. So you can plan your trips just like you did the last years.

No care for the band that's currently on stage? Go hang out at the park and take a sunbath. No care for the first couple of opening bands? Go and take a dive at the swimming pool or go visit the animal farm. Or go out and have a barbeque. The possibilities to have fun and enjoy yourselves are unlimited. Also, just like last year, there will be the camping area right behind the venue in the park for all of you people who want to have a genuine festival-weekend.

As you might remember the american actress Kim novak sued Kill.Kim.Novak a couple of months ago to make them change their name. We are sorry to announce that after months of legal battles between the lawyers she has won. The band has to stop using the name immediately and officially changed it to Andorra~Atkins now. Other than that, the band will continue as planned and is more motivated than ever before. 9 songs for their second album have already been written with a couple of more to follow and the band plans on recording them this spring/early summer with a scheduled release for early early autumn 2008.

"Two sides Of A Modern World" features guest vocals from Ross Length Of Time and was mastered by the mighty Jacob Hansen.

Due to some problems in the mix and thereby the master delaying for a couple of more days, after already being late anyway, we have to postpone the release date of Do Or Die's new record "Pray For Them" from mid-March to May. We will announce the exact date soon.

Recording sessions are almost through for Do Or Die and "Pray For Them", scheduled for a late March release, is currently beeing mixed and mastered.
Chris Do Or Die comments:
"It took us a bit longer than expected because I took more time for the singing - we changed a few things while in the studio to improve the songs and I can tell you that they are going to destroy! There will be 13 or 14 tracks, we rerecorded "Bella Famiglia" too, with some some slight changes. The limited vinyl edition of the record is also going to include the rerecording of the song "Do Or Die". We're also happy to announce that Roger Mirret of Agnostic Front & Jamey Hatebreed are featured with guest vocals too. This album is so aggressive it sounds much better than the previous one."

"Pray For Them" will also include a DVD featuring Sean from Hatebreed, Nick from Ignite, Roger, Mick & Vinny from Agnostic Front, Marc MAD and a lot of other interviews. More news to follow here as well, keep your eyes open.

The band out of Ypres, Belgium, came together 2 years ago as a side-project of members from Die My Demon, Whatever It Takes, One Outta Six and First Alliance, but quickly turned into a motivated full time destructive force in European hardcore with one full length and a MCD already released, several European tours and a neverending hunger for more.
The Boss will hit the studio in late February 2008 to record their Alveran debut, which is scheduled for a late spring/early summer 2008 release. More news to come.

New Jersey's finest Shattered Realm have just bought their plane tix for the upcoming Eurotour, so to all you doubters: this shit is going down. The last dates are being confirmed as you read this, and will be announced ASAP. On other news the band has decided to re-record a couple of old mosh-anthems to showcase the tightness of the new line-up, the songs are going to be released digitally only, though, and will be available for download through the usual channels like itunes and the likes. More importantly though, the band is currently also writing a new full length. Not much details beyond that, but this is news worth of publishing in itself. The recording process for the follow-up release to 2005's "Tradition", Pray For Them", has begun. Drums have already been recorded, the recording of the guitars has started a couple of days ago. "Pray For Them" is scheduled for a March 2008 release, with more news to come.

On less pleasent news, Planes Mistaken For Stars have cancelled all of the farewell tourplans they had for 2008. This also includes the Euro-dates. Here's the statement from the band:

"We are sorry to say but we have some bad news. Due to a family emergency within the PMFS family, we have to cancel the whole January tour and Europe. We tried to figure out a way around this but it has become more serious than expected and as we all know family comes first. Everything will be ok but now this is the time we are there for the person(s) in need. With this said, we will be playing only ONE more show (our final show) in February. This will be in Denver and we will keep you updated on the venue and date. You did read this correctly, there will be only ONE more Planes show. Pressure Fest date announced. Do your summerplans, take time off work, find someone to do your homework for school on that weekend - you know this is nothing you want to miss.

Sinew out of Marburg, Germany, have managed to find their own niche in only 3 years of existence by creating a sound that combines elements of Dredg, Tool and Muse. The band coined the term "Cinemascopic Alternative Rock" for this epic mixture. And although "alternative rock" has little to do with what Alveran is known for were so impressed by this band and believe in them and in us enough to make us not want to miss the opportunity to work with them.

Sinew came together in 2004, when guitarist Andreas Mette and bassist Sotirios Kelekidis left the melodic-punk-band Psycho Gambola to seek for new musical challenges after the release of four records with this outfit. After some line-up changes and a self-released MCD in 2004 the band found a steady line-up completed by Sascha Junker (vocals, keyboards, percussion) and Sascha Christ (drums, samples) and managed to find and develop their sound as it is today. Visions magazine featured the band in their Unexplored Area in November 2006, acknowledging the closeness to the hymnic moments of Dredg but at the same time attesting Sinew the ability to create a very unique atmosphere of their own.

Their official debut record "The Beauty Of Contrast" presents 12 songs of progressive-power-rock meets indie-guitar-pop in a way you will definitely not hear from any band out of Germany and hardly from any band in the world: catchy, melodic, dramatic, urgent and vulnerable with lyrics that deal with more important things than relationship drama and broken hearts. Sascha Junker (lyrics) is more concerned with the plight of humans in an over-rationalized world and the search for a way out of it, matching the depth of the music with a depth in meaning.

“The Beauty of Contrast” is already recorded and is scheduled for a late February 2008 release.

Resistance entered the Jonathas Studio in Belgium today together with producer Xavier Carion (ex-Channel Zero) to record their Alveran debut "Two Sides Of A Modern World".
The new record is going to have 10 songs and is scheduled for an April 2008 release. More news to come.

As most of you already know, Planes Mistaken For Stars have broken up. However, the band will be touring for the next 9 months malso heading for a farewell tour to Europe in spring 2008.
Here's the complete statement from drummer Mike Ricketts:

"It's true; Planes Mistaken for Stars will be doing their last tours and shows in the next 9 months. We will be doing Gainesville Fest, an East Coast tour in November, a smaller Texas tour in January, a European tour in the early spring, and hopefully a few Colorado shows between. To sum it all up, by this time next year Planes Mistaken For Stars will be no more. There are many reasons why we've decided to move on: Financial strain, family obligations, etc. but we really just felt it was time. Our love for each other and our music has not diminished. It will always be there and I have no doubt that we could continue to write balls to the wall music. Now it's just time for change. Chuck and Neil will continue to blow minds with their band, Git Some. Gared will be writing/performing in Hawks and Doves (a collaboration with Matt Bellinger, Planes's old guitar player). Then I will be moving to Chicago to be closer to family, hopefully starting a band there with some old friends and probably going back to school to pursue my science career. We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years. To the bands that we've toured with: you will always hold a special place in our hearts. To our committed friends and family who've helped establish us: words cannot express our appreciation. Resistance from Belgium will release their Alveran debut in April 2008. The band will record their second full length throughout November 2007 at the Jonathas Studio in Belgium together with Xavier Carion (ex-Channel Zero), the CD will be mixed at the Deadline Studios in Gothenborg by Valle Adzic (guit. for Impious, already mixed bands like One Man Army and Bood Red Throne) and mastered at the Bohus Studio , Ghotenborg, by Dragan Tanaskovic.

The not so unknown HC-allstars of Wisdom In Chains are dropping their new record, 'Class War', through A Team this summer! The exact release dates are July 27. for mainland Europe and August 6. for the UK. BUT, the record is already going to be available through Alveran from Friday, June 22. on, which, as you might have noticed, marks the first day of the Pressure Fest weekend. You can get it at the Alveran Merch/CD table throughout Pressure Fest, after that you will be able to get it at our shop in Bochum or through our webshop. With all of these options available there is no excuse for you to miss out on this record. For all of you who aren't familiar with the name Wisdom in Chains, here's a short introduction.

Wisdom In Chains are a rare breed of hardcore band. Their musical talent and song writing skills help craft their hardcore anthems into sing-a-long hits that cross over the boundaries of the dance floor having punk and hardcore kids alike getting into them.
Having started in Europe comprised of half American and half European members as a side project, with the members already being in bands such as KRUTCH, MUSHMOUTH and BOXCUTTER, they took WISDOM IN CHAINS to the next level and now command a strong presence in the States as well as overseas. 'Class War' is the follow up to 2005's 'Die Young' and is sure to turn new heads as well as keep the old fans coming back for more. Also the band is going to tour Europe in August and maybe also in October, so watch out for that, too. If anyone really was undecided about whether he/she was really going to go to Pressure Fest this year, we're sure that there is no doubt now that this is THE summer festival of 2007 to be! If you have never heard of this band and want to get a picture of what Kill.Kim.Novak are doing you need to imagine the best elements of bands like Snapcase, early Refused, At The Drive In, Song of Zarathustra, Envy, Yage and Loxiran all thrown together. What you get is intense, passionate, at times noisy, at times melodic Hardcore with German as well as English lyrics and a tendency to melancholy, creating their very own and unique style that's heartfelt and honest.

In their short career as an unsigned underground act Kill.Kim.Novak has already been able to share the stage with a diversity of bands such as Sparta, Mara Akate, The.Coalfield, The Oath, Tagtraum, Caliban, Daitro, Tephra, Tornevalanche, Amen Ra, Zann, Escapado, Perth Express, Callejón, Eaves, The Now Denial, Dean Dirg, Children Of Fall and more, playing in countries like Belgium, Germany, Austria and Luxemburg.

The band formed in 2003, after the breaking up of a band called Another Sick Tribe, with its members seeking for new challenges and therefor coming together to create Kill.Kim.Novak. Shortly after forming, the band released their first demo, the 'Kopfleuchten' MCD, in 2003, which got a huge response from the scene. Their next release was the 'Kaskaden' demo EP released in 2005.

Those releases and their talked about live shows gave them a reputation as one of the most promising German Hardcore act these days. Their debut for A Team, '03:05', unites the 'Kopfleuchten' and 'Kaskaden' CDs remastered on one single CD, offering their complete discography so far and introducing the band to a wider audience, giving them the chance to break out of their underground status and also preparing everybody for their brand new debut full length, which is going to be released this fall. '03:05' is hitting stores all over Europe on May 25th through A Team Records.

First of all we would like to announce the addition of our good friends of In Blood We Trust to this year's line up! It's their second year in a row, but we feel the band really deserves it. Also, Bury Your Dead and Six Ft. Ditch, who were still to be confirmed last week, are now definetely going to be part of Pressure Fest 2k7.

In Blood We Trust

After last week's huge update we got a lot of people asking about tickets and getting nervous about when and where they can get them and how much they are going to cost. From the moment on you read these lines, pre-order will already have started through our online shop. The Festivalticket (all 3 days) is going to cost 45 Euros (+ additional fees) this year. We know this is 6 Euros more than all the years before, but considering the raise of the German VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) up to 19% adding up to all the organisational costs of the festival and all the exclusive bands we are flying in from the states, we hope you guys understand that we just had to raise the ticketprice a bit so that we are able to cover our expenses. We still think this is a very fair price and good value for your money, though, for such a fest and considering all the bands that are playing.
Still, as a special offer to all you loyal Pressure Fest kids we are going to sell them for the old price of 39 Euros (+ additional fees) through our webstore from today until Sunday, April 8th. The tickets will only be available through us until then for this special discount price. Official presale starts on Monday, April 9th, making the tickets additionally available at every major ticket counter in Germany, but tickets will cost 45 Euros (+ additional fees) from then on. All you kids living outside of Germany can only get them through our webstore, at least for the first weeks, but we are working on having a couple of foreign distros selling the tickets, too. We'll let you know as soon as we know who it's going to be. NOTE: you can preorder you tickets now for the special discount price, but they will only be sent out as soon as they are printed out and everything. You can expect to find them in your from the end of April on. One-day-tickets are only going to be for sale from end of April on.

Pressure Fest: Europe's biggest and realest festival for Hardcore and Metalcore!

NARZISS have just been confirmed for the German Wacken Open Air Festival (02.-04. August 07) and are in great company with Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames, Heaven Shall Burn, Lacuna Coil, etc to present their latest album “Solang das Herz schlägt”.
